Information for Journalists
This website is the Metropolitan Council’s official source for information about its labor negotiations, proposals and agreements.
Journalists can use the site to:
- Find the latest bargaining updates and negotiation status.
- Review current proposals, agreements and source documents.
- Identify which bargaining units and employees are affected.
- Confirm document dates, versions and status.
- Understand what has changed and what remains unresolved.
- Access previous materials in the document archive.
Metropolitan Council summaries and explanations reflect the Council’s position. Direct proposal and contract language is identified separately so it can be reviewed and cited independently.
Before using a document, confirm that it is marked current. Materials labeled superseded, withdrawn or expired remain available as part of the public record but should not be presented as active proposals.
